President of University of Nebraska visits XJTU
On the morning of November 5, the president of the University of Nebraska (USA), Professor James B. Milliken and his party, visited XJTU. They were received by President ZHENG Nanning in the Science Hall.
President ZHENG welcomed President Milliken to XJTU and thanked the University of Nebraska for its efforts in exchange and cooperation with XJTU in recent years. President ZHENG briefly outlined the current situation regarding international exchanges for XJTU students and said that he hoped to develop research cooperation and additional student exchanges with the University of Nebraska in the areas of space law and food security.
Following the meeting, and after an exchange of gifts, President Milliken visited XJTU's Moving West History Museum and the Engineering Workshop.
In the afternoon of November 5, President Milliken and his party visited the wards and the ICU of the First Hospital, and met with Vice President Yan Jianqun. The two leaders discussed possibilities for cooperation in the areas of both full-service medical center practice and family practice.
