Established in November 2015, the Western China Higher Education Evaluation Center is an independent unit directly affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University. It shares personnel with the Higher Education Research Institute established in 1984. With the aim of putting academic matters first in a context of open service, domestic development, and an international perspective, the center is striving to become a well-known open higher education evaluation institution with clear goals and a capable team. The center’s main responsibilities include conducting research on new ideas, new methods, and new technologies for higher education evaluation; providing professional evaluation, audits, and consultation services; and training talents for higher education evaluation.
