Established in 2007, Wenzhi College was named after Tang Wenzhi, master of sinology, educator, and previous president of the university, and is situated in the southwest corner of Xingqing Campus. It has more than 2,600 undergraduate students in several schools such as mechanical engineering, energy and power engineering, human settlements and civil engineering, chemical engineering and technology, materials science and engineering, and aerospace engineering. 

The college has public activity spaces including the party member's house, ideological and political education room, academic counseling center, career development room, and the Wenxin tea room. In the college, counselors, head teachers, academic mentors, part-time counselors, and off-campus counselors give equal weight to knowledge and morality and get along well with students. 

Guided by the principle that a successful person must be a virtuous person, the college attaches great importance to moral education. It promotes patriotism, collectivism, heroism, optimism and a struggling spirit, and advocates volunteer services. It aims to cultivate talents with all-round ability in areas such as morals, intelligence, physical fitness, work and aesthetics.
