Competition fosters college students' advertising creativity
The 2025 "Summer Stars" and the 17th National College Student Advertising Art Competition Network Audiovisual Awards Ceremony were held on August 26 in Xi'an, Shaanxi province.
Hosted by the Organizing Committee of the National College Student Advertising Art Competition and Xi'an Jiaotong University, the event was organized by the School of Journalism and New Media of Xi'an Jiaotong University and Cultural Communication (Beijing) Co., Ltd.
Over 500 participants, including leaders, mentors, and award-winning students from various organizations and universities nationwide, attended the ceremony. Professor Ding Junjie, chairman of the Advertising Education Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Higher Education, praised the competition as a platform for showcasing students' skills and the innovative achievements of China's higher education.
The competition involved 1,897 universities, 582,359 entries, and nearly 1.58 million participants, highlighting its role in promoting practical teaching and industry-education integration. The entries demonstrated market insight and innovative thinking, reflecting the creative vitality of today's youth.
Since its launch in March, 60 outstanding teams advanced to the national finals in Xi'an. The marketing maker category was notably competitive, with record-breaking quality and quantity of works. The ceremony awarded over ten prizes across four categories: micro drama, AIGC micro drama, micro video, and online live streaming. Winning works were celebrated for their creativity and positive energy, aligning with the competition's goals of promoting educational reform and enhancing quality.
The National College Student Advertising Art Competition is a leading national humanities competition, providing a platform for advertising, media, and art students to showcase achievements and fostering the integration of industry, academia, research, and application. It plays a crucial role in cultivating innovative talents and advancing the online audiovisual industry.
