New edition of Russian-language Chinese Commercial Law debuts in Beijing

Representatives from China and Russia attend the book launch ceremony.
The second edition of the Russian-language Chinese Commercial Law has been launched in Beijing. It was co-edited by Professor Shan Wenhua, assistant to the president and dean of the Law School at Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), and Professor Alexander Molotmikov of Moscow State University's Faculty of Law.
The launch ceremony brought together representatives of the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in China, experts from the China-Russia Law Association, and corporate delegates. Attendees highlighted the book's role in deepening mutual legal understanding and fostering stronger economic and trade ties between the two countries.
First published in 2018, Chinese Commercial Law was the first comprehensive guide to China's commercial legal environment tailored to Russian-speaking countries. Spanning 20 chapters, it provides a systemic overview of critical legal areas for foreign investors, including investment and commercial law, taxation and intellectual property, as well as trade and customs regulations.
Following the success of the first edition, which saw high demand amid deepening China-Russia economic cooperation, the editorial team developed this second edition to meet the evolving needs of the legal and business communities.
The new version maintains the original's systemic rigor while integrating the latest developments in China's commercial legal system. It serves as a professional gateway for Russia and the broader international community to better understand Chinese law, promoting mutual learning and facilitating smoother cross-border trade.
