A number of XJTU undergraduate teaching quality and reform projects were approved or supported in Shaanxi. Professor Tian Gaoliang of XJTU School of Management, Professor Li Xiaomei of XJTU Health Science Center and Professor Li Jicheng of XJTU School of Math and Statistics were conferred the title of Outstanding Teachers in Shaanxi Universities in 2015. Two textbooks by professor Feng Zongxian, including Policies and Practices of International Trade Theories (The Second Edition), earned the first prize of the 2015 Shaanxi Best Collegiate Textbooks. Three textbooks by Professor Zhao Weijun, for instance, Design of Basic Course on Mechanical Designs, received the second prize. In regard to Shaanxi Collegiate Comprehensive Program Reform Pilot Projects, XJTU was recognized with 6 provincial outstanding teaching teams, 3 provincial talent education model pilot zones, 2 provincial teaching demonstration centers and 16 provincial best open-source courses. XJTU ranks the first in number of prizes and projects.

XJTU has reinforced faculty team building and talent education models and implemented and reformed the faculty teaching by senior faculty counseling and training. XJTU has also created and executed the outstanding faculty and courses programs, one of the 8 programs on talent education for world-class university development plan. XJTU commits itself to enhancing the hands-on educational platforms and setting up the novel and original innovation and entrepreneurship system, comprising predominant innovation theory courses in combination with curricular and co-curricular practice platforms.
