According to the latest data (released on July 13, 2017) of Essential Science Indicators (ESI), two disciplines of XJTU are ranked top 1% of the ESI list, including MOLECULARBIOLOGY &GENETICS and ECONOMICS &BUSINESS. XJTU takes the 430th place among the 5465 institutions listed in ESI.

So far, fourteen XJTU disciplines are ranked top 1% on the ESI list, including Engineering Science, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics, Clinical Medicine, Molecular Biology &Genetics, Geosciences, Computer Science, Biology &Biochemistry, Pharmacology &Toxicology, Neurosciences and Behavioral Science, Mathematics, Economics &Commercial Science, and Social Sciences, of which Engineering Science is ranked top 1‰. According to the latest data, XJTU has contributed 318 top papers, including 317 highly cited papers and 12 papers on currently important topics.
