On September 11th, 2017, the first English MOOC for Postgraduates —Thermal Management and Cooling Technology of Electronics Packages and Data Centers was officially launched online on the platform of XJTUMOOC.

This course, with Dr. Chen Liang as the lecturer, was designed and constructed based on the English course Thermal Management and Cooling Technology of Electronics Packages and Data Centerstaught by Prof. Hou Yu of the School of Energy and Power Engineering. After a two-year trial operation and improvement, XJTU has announced their decision to offer this course to all overseas students at the School of Energy and Power Engineering and postgraduates majoring in power engineering and engineering thermophysics with the assistance of SPOC, starting from the autumn of 2017. This course involves the application of heat transmission theory and refrigeration technology in the field of electronic technology, and combines the basic theory, academic research and applied technology, which is helpful to postgraduate students in exploring new ways of learning and expanding the research direction.
