On October 10th, 2017, ASM International announced the ASM's 2017 Class of Fellowson their official website, representing an honor given to members for their contributions to materials science and engineering. XJTU professor Chang-Jiu Li among the 18 fellows elected for this year.

Prof. Li Changjiu graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1982, and obtained his Master's degree and Doctoral degree in Osaka University, Japan, respectively in 1986 and 1989.

Prof. Li Changjiu has been engaged inthe research of deposition mechanisms of thermal spray coatings, the coating structure and property characterization and application of thermal spraying technology, etc.Thus far, Prof. Li has published over 270 paperson international academic journals, more than 70 papers on domestic journals, and over 190 papers in the proceedings of international conferences.
