Recently, Xie Pengcheng, an undergraduate student from the Year of 2015 XJTU Mathematics Pilot Class, performed outstandingly in the entrance examination of CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) postgraduate study and was qualified to study directly on the PhD program. CAS member Professor Yuan Yaxiang will be his supervisor. In addition, after intense competition, he was one of the eight winners of 2019 Loo-Keng Hua Scholarship (100,000 RMB) conferred by the CAS.
