XJTU and University of York sign cooperation agreement
On the afternoon of March 5, 2019, Ian A Graham, FRS and director of Bio York, and his delegation visited XJTU. XJTU vice president, Rong Mingzhe, met with them in Room 107 of the XJTU Science Hall.
Vice President Rong Mingzhe warmly welcomed the visitors and gave them a brief introduction to the history and disciplines of XJTU.
Professor Ian A Graham expressed his recognition of XJTU and his expectations for future cooperation of two parties.
He hoped to take the opportunity to build the Laboratory for Synthetic Biology of Medicinal Plants in the Innovation Harbor, to research the genome of medicinal plants, solve difficulties and hot issues of medicinal plants research, and promote the modernization of Chinese Medicine.
After the talks, Guan Xiaohong, dean of the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, and Professor Ian A Graham signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the School of Electronic and Information Engineering of XJTU and University of York to strengthen exchange and scientific research cooperation between the two institutions.
