XJTU researchers invented China’s first new PCR nucleic acid testing instrument
Professor Jiang Zhuangde
During the COVID-19 outbreak, nucleic acid testing becomes the main diagnostic reference. The results of nucleic acid testing rely on not only the test kit but also the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) nucleic acid testing instrument. XJTU Professor Jiang Zhuangde, CAE member, led his team in the successful development of this PCR instrument. This marks China's first PCR instrument with independent intelligent property rights and breaks the situation of China being completely dependent on importing such advanced equipment. The instrument has been put into production and is already in sure front linehospitals treating COVID-19 throughout China.
