Research Group represented by Guo Baolin of Center for Biomedical Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (CBERM) of Frontier Institute of Science and Technology designed electroactive biodegradable polyurethane to enhance Schwann cells myelin gene expression and neurotrophin secretion fro peripheral nerve tissue engineering, which is of great application value. In addition, the study also preliminarily revealed the cellular mechanism related to the electroactive biodegradable polyurethane in enhancing Schwann cells myelin gene.

Research Group represented by doctorial students Wu Yaobin and Wang Ling, both are the first authors published Electroactive Biodegradable Polyurethane Significantly Enhanced Schwann Cells Myelin Gene Expression and Neurotrophin Secretion for Peripheral Nerve Tissue Engineering at Biomaterials.
