Li Mingyan and Zhang Qian win second place in the women's doubles competition, representing the XJTU tennis team at the 25th China University Tennis Championships & the 20th Chinese University 'Principals Cup' Tennis Tournament.
The finals of the Championships were held in Yibin city, Southwest China's Sichuan province from July 17 to 26. The XJTU tennis team competed as the women's team champion and the men's team runner-up in the northwest division.
This event was hosted by the Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC) and attracted more than 1,000 athletes from more than 170 colleges and universities across the country.

The tournament includes team forms and individual events, each with four groups. The XJTU tennis team participated in the group match in which all competitors are ordinary college students who have not enjoyed extra points in sports or a privileged admission policy during the college entrance examination.
Even faced with a harsh high temperature environment, the team members were not afraid of difficulties and responded to each game with high morale and unyielding spirit.
As "golden partners", Li and Zhang advanced all the way to the finals. They once took an opposing team's match point and scored consecutive points when they were behind, and eventually won the runner-up position in the competition, which fully demonstrated XJTUers' spirit of never giving up.
