More than 300 "2023 Top 2% Global Top Scientists" serve as editorial board members for XJTU's 10 journals.
Stanford University and Elsevier Data Repository recently released the 2023 World's Top 2% Scientists, 328 of whom serve as editorial board members for 10 journals hosted by Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), and 168 of whom have been selected for the "Career Scientific Impact Rankings (1960-2023)."
The 10 journals are namely "Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis (English)," "Journal of Advanced Dielectrics (English)," "Data Science and Management (English)," "Energy Storage and Energy Saving (English)," "Smart Power & Energy Security (English)," "Renewable Energy System and Equipment (English)" "Magnetic Medicine (English)" "Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University," "Chinese Journal of Applied Mechanics," and "Modern Economic Science."
The "2023 World's Top 2% Scientists" compiles research papers from journals indexed in SSCI, SCI, and EI, as well as papers presented at EI conferences. The evaluation is based on factors such as citation count, h-index, hm-index, and other comprehensive assessments.
The list is divided into two main categories: the "Career Scientific Impact Rankings" covering the period from 1960 to 2023 and the "2023 Annual Scientific Impact Rankings," corresponding to the comprehensive data for the year 2023. The selection process identifies scientists ranked in the top 2 percent globally from nearly 7 million scientists, spanning 22 academic disciplines and 176 sub-disciplines.
The list includes over 300 individuals serving as editorial board members for journals hosted by XJTU, marking a significant leap forward in the development of high-quality journals at XJTU. The Journal Center will continue to advance the implementation of the "First-Class Journal Impact Enhancement Plan," with a focus on building a high-level cluster of journals at XJTU.
