Individuals from XJTU selected as national outstanding engineers
The National Engineer Awards ceremony was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Jan 19. A total of 81 individuals were awarded the title of "National Outstanding Engineer," and 50 teams were awarded the title of "National Outstanding Engineer Team." Several individuals from Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) received the title of "National Outstanding Engineer."
Wang Jue graduated with a bachelor's degree in turbomachinery from XJTU. He is currently employed at the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology.
Zhang Yong also obtained his bachelor's degree in turbomachinery from XJTU. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at XJTU. He is currently serving as the vice president and chief technology officer (CTO) at Shengu Group Co.
Wang Weiqing is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Electrical Engineering at Xinjiang University. From 2002 to 2010, he served as a doctoral supervisor at the School of Electrical Engineering at XJTU.
Li Yongsheng is the chief scientist at Shandong Tianrui Heavy Industry Co. He was appointed as a part-time professor at the School of Energy and Power Engineering at XJTU in July 2020.
This is the first time the "National Engineering Award" commendation has been held. It is the highest honor in the field of engineering and technology in China. Its purpose is to recognize outstanding individuals in the field of engineering and technology and inspire a wide range of engineering and technical talents to work hard and forge ahead, making even greater contributions.
