The delegation visits XJTU's Core Facilities and Experiment Center.

A delegation led by Sergei S. Sherbakov, an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, visited Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU)'s Western China Science and Technology Innovation Harbour on Jan 21.

Yan Junjie, vice-president of XJTU, warmly welcomed the delegation on behalf of the university and provided an overview of the construction and development of the Innovation Harbour.

He emphasized that the Innovation Harbour serves as a pinnacle of innovation in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, and expressed hope that the visit will serve as an opportunity between the two parties to strengthen mutual visits and exchanges, deepen collaboration, and jointly advance high-level scientific research and the cultivation of high-level talent.

Sherbakov expressed gratitude for the invitation and warm reception from XJTU. He provided an overview of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and mentioned that the inaugural visit to the Innovation Harbour left a profound impression on him.

He expressed hope of further strengthening mutual visits, exchanges, personnel coordination as well as formulating and implementing relevant cooperation plans.

The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, established in 1929, is the highest academic institution in Belarus. It has achieved world-leading research results in scientific and technological fields such as laser physics and technology, high-temperature plasma physics and technology, heat and mass transfer theory, technology, and more.
