XJTU participates in DI-IDEA session
The inaugural work session of the Digital Intelligence International Development Education Alliance is held online.
Shan Zhiwei, vice-president of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), attended the inaugural working session of the Digital Intelligence International Development Education Alliance (DI-IDEA), which was held online on Feb 29, with the main venue located at Peking University.
The meeting brought together heavyweight figures from the global education sector, including representatives from eight internationally renowned universities and 13 well-known domestic universities.
During the meeting, the secretariat of the DI-IDEA introduced the alliance's mission, charter, and the work plan for 2024. The discussions and exchanges at the meeting were lively, especially when discussing how to promote the construction of open resources within the alliance.
Shan Zhiwei praised the significant role of the alliance in strengthening multilateral cooperation in the fields of educational digitization and intelligence. He expressed that XJTU is honored to be a member of the alliance and is willing to actively contribute the university's wisdom and experience.
At the same time, he warmly invited all members of the alliance to visit the university for exchanges and discussions, aiming to promote international cooperation.
The DI-IDEA was established under the guidance of the Ministry of Education. It aims to gather leading universities worldwide in the fields of digital and intelligent education development and artificial intelligence. By strengthening cooperation among universities, the alliance seeks to collectively address the challenges brought about by digital advancements. As one of the founding members, XJTU joined the alliance in November 2023.
