The editorial board members from the seven English-language journals made the 2023 list of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers.

A total of 137 editorial board members from 18 journals hosted by Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) made the 2023 list of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers recently released by Elsevier, including scholars such as Tao Wenquan, Xu Zongben, He Yaling, Guo Liejin, Wang Tiejun and Bie Zhaohong. The number increased by over 20 percent compared to the previous year, setting a new record.

These scholars span 10 disciplines, including energy, mechanical engineering, mechanics, mathematics, medicine, sociology, economics, and management.

Specifically, 58 editorial board members were from seven English-language journals, while 79 were from 11 Chinese-language journals. Among the English-language journals, Energy Storage and Saving had the most editorial board members included, with 21 members, including Honorary Editor-in-Chief Academician Tao Wenquan and Editor-in-Chief Professor Wang Qiuwang.

Among the Chinese-language journals, a total of 40 editorial board members from three science and engineering journals, 22 from social science journals, and 17 from medical journals were included.

The 2023 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list included a total of 5,801 individuals from 496 universities, enterprises, and research institutions, covering 84 first-level disciplines within 10 Ministry of Education academic fields.
