Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU)'s team excelled, winning one gold medal, two bronze medals, one fourth place, five fifth places, and one seventh place. The National College Track and Field Championships is the largest, most widely participated in, and most extensive single-event competition in China. It serves as a national platform for showcasing the fruits of college track and field training and selecting outstanding athletic talents.

Since its opening on July 14, the competition has brought together 5,285 athletes and coaches from 438 universities across the country. They competed fiercely in 161 categories across four groups: A, B, C, and D, including sprints, long-distance runs, hurdles, relays, high jumps, long jumps, and shot put. This year's event set new records in both the number of participating units and athletes.

XJTU's team showed great determination and continually challenged themselves. In the women's C group hammer throw, Wang Shengyao took gold with a throw of 57.26 meters. Meng Yi won a bronze medal in the women's C group 100-meter hurdles, and Zhang Haonan also earned a bronze medal in the men's D group triple jump. Additionally, Zhang Baodong achieved a fourth-place finish in the men's C group 3,000-meter steeplechase.

Four students reached the "Athlete Master" level in their respective events. The "Athlete Master" title is the highest athletic achievement in China. The four students were Zhang Jialun, Chen Yi, Wei Kaiyi and Zhang Haonan.
