XJTU achieves outstanding results in emission reduction competition

The finals of the 17th National University Student Social Practice and Science Contest on Energy Saving and Emission Reduction were held from Aug 4 to 7. Xi'an Jiaotong University's team submitted 15 projects for the competition and ultimately won one Special Award, seven first-place prizes, three second-place prizes, and two third-place prizes, ranking second nationwide. XJTU also received the Excellent Organization Award.
Titled "Energy Conservation, Emission Reduction and Green Energy", the competition attracted over 53,000 outstanding students, with a total of 7,853 submitted projects. These included 7,044 from 629 domestic universities, 142 from 21 overseas countries and regions, and 667 from the industrial sector.
After the preliminary selection, 344 projects advanced to the finals, including 299 domestic submissions, 20 international submissions, and 25 industry submissions. Both the number of participating units and projects set new records. Ultimately, 16 special awards, 174 first-place prizes, and 257 second-place prizes were awarded.
Additionally, the competition announced the top undergraduate theses in energy and power, with five of XJTU's theses selected, ranking first nationwide .
The National University Student Social Practice and Science Contest on Energy Saving and Emission Reduction focuses on the national dual carbon strategic goals and adheres to the theme of energy conservation, emission reduction and green energy, actively implementing the national Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Public Action Plan.
