The agreement includes plans to jointly establish integrated talent platforms, such as a new energy vehicle academy, an IT academy, and a mineral resource testing center, fostering Tajikistan's modern technological industry system.
In July 2023, XJTU's National Technology Transfer Center organized a delegation to visit Tajikistan's Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the NAST, laying the groundwork for comprehensive cooperation agreements.
The collaboration builds on earlier high-level agreements. In May 2023, at the Central Asia Summit, China and Tajikistan issued a joint statement strengthening bilateral cooperation. In July 2024, both countries signed a joint declaration advancing their comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era.
