Hard technology trade fair in Xi'an showcases innovation and collaboration
|The Belt and Road Key and Core Technology Achievement Trade Fair took place in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Saturday, with the primary goal of promoting the key and core science and technology industry within the "Belt and Road" framework.
The event aimed to unite the strengths of government entities, industries, universities, research institutions and funding bodies to propel the development of innovative technologies that drive productivity.
The Belt and Road Key and Core Technology Achievement Trade Fair is hosted by Xi'an Jiaotong University.
Lu Jianjun, secretary of the Communist Party Committee at Xi'an Jiaotong University, emphasized the institution's commitment to delivering top-tier technological solutions and facilitating the seamless transition of scientific advancements into practical applications.
Key highlights of the fair included the unveiling of the "Belt and Road" Intellectual Property International Cooperation and Exchange Center, as well as the Shaanxi Equity Trading Center (Western Innovation Harbour) Service Center. Agreements were signed between the Shenzhen Stock Exchange's Scientific and Technological Achievements and Intellectual Property Trading Center, the Shaanxi Equity Trading Center and project stakeholders, underscoring a commitment to advancing technological transformations. The online launch of the Belt and Road Scientific and Technological Achievements Market at the Innovation Harbour and the unveiling of the Belt and Road Key and Core Technology Achievement Exhibition were big parts of the event.
An international cooperation agreement is signed at the event between Tajikistan's National Academy of Science and Xi'an Jiaotong University National Technology Transfer Center.
Distinguished by its integrated approach encompassing lectures, performances and exhibitions, the event featured various forums, including the "University Alliance of the Silk Road" Industry Education Integration Development Forum and the Silk Road Youth Scholars Industry University Research Exchange Forum.
The event also hosted nine roadshows, including the "Belt and Road" international event and the "Artificial Intelligence and Big Data" event, showcasing a total of 72 projects, with 30 of them being international initiatives spanning 14 countries and regions.
In addition, the event also displayed 505 scientific and technological achievements at the Western China Science and Technology Innovation Harbour Engineering Museum, sourced from universities within the "University Alliance of the Silk Road," the "Yellow River Basin University Alliance", institutions in Shaanxi Province, global alumni of Xi'an Jiaotong University, young scholars from the Silk Road region and other outstanding innovation and entrepreneurship projects from across the globe.
