The International Land Port Hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) opened to the public on Dec 30.

Beginning on Nov 30, the hospital launched a month-long large-scale free clinic event, offering services across 28 specialties. Over 27,000 patients were treated, reflecting the hospital's commitment to addressing the public's expectations for high-quality healthcare services.

"The International Land Port Hospital is currently the only planned tertiary hospital within the Chanba International Port area," said Han Jianfeng, deputy director of XJTU First Affiliated Hospital. "From state-of-the-art imaging diagnostic equipment, precision surgical tools, and intelligent medical information systems to patient-friendly facilities, the hospital represents a perfect fusion of technologies and humanity. Here, patients can receive precise and safer treatments while enjoying the most advanced medical technology and attentive care."

A New Year's concert was held in the outpatient hall to celebrate the opening, featuring a captivating performance by XJTU's student art troupe. A historical medical records exhibition was unveiled on the third floor of the outpatient building, showcasing XJTU First Affiliated Hospital's landmark cases from over 2 million medical records dating back to 1956.

Located in the heart of Chanba International Port, the International Land Port Hospital covers a total area of approximately 375 mu (25 hectares) and was built in two phases. It is a specialized hospital anchored by the National Regional Medical Center for Neurology, integrating medical services, education, research, rehabilitation, prevention, health care, and physical examinations.

As one of China's first "mentorship-type" national medical center pilot units, XJTU First Affiliated Hospital is advancing its primary mission of developing the world's first superconducting heavy-ion equipment, which will be implemented at the International Land Port Hospital.
