XJTU delegation visits Khalifa University for 2025 Winter Youth Camp

A delegation of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) faculty and students recently visited Khalifa University in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in the 2025 Winter Youth Camp.
The delegation included two professors and nine students.
XJTU students learned about advanced research topics such as artificial intelligence, robotics, space technology, and sustainable energy. Over approximately two weeks of study, they also attended the 2025 World Future Energy Summit (WFES) organized by Khalifa University and visited the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.
At the closing ceremony, XJTU students introduced their university to attendees. They shared insights into daily academic life, XJTU's collaborations under the Belt and Road Initiative, and its industry-education integration initiatives with an audience of 150 young students from China and the UAE.
On Jan 23, to celebrate the first UNESCO-listed Chinese New Year, Khalifa University hosted its first-ever Chinese New Year celebration, attracting over 500 faculty members and students.
The CCTV Spring Festival Gala promotional video for the Year of the Snake was played on-site, creating a festive atmosphere. XJTU students actively participated in the event, setting up an XJTU exhibition booth and even making dumplings with Emirati students.
Fan Yuwen, an undergraduate student and member of the delegation, was interviewed live by a CCTV News reporter, with the interview broadcast on the CCTV News app.
