XJTU ranks seventh among universities in the Chinese mainland for law.
According to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025, Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) placed in the 151-175 range among 389 universities worldwide and ranked seventh in Chinese mainland for its law major.
The rankings were released by THE, one of the world's four most authoritative university ranking organizations. They are based on data from the THE World University Rankings 2025, one of the most comprehensive, rigorous, and balanced evaluations of research-intensive universities worldwide. The subject rankings use the same five primary indicators as the overall ranking – teaching, research environment, research quality, international outlook, and industry engagement – along with 13 secondary indicators.
In this year's law rankings, 10 universities from the Chinese mainland, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, and XJTU, made the list. XJTU's law discipline performed exceptionally well in research quality, scoring 90.5 and ranking second among Chinese mainland universities in this category.
