Shintani introduced UNR's history, research strengths, and academic development. He expressed hopes for practical cooperation with XJTU in student exchange, discipline development, and joint educational programs to promote healthy China-US relations and people-to-people exchanges among younger generations.

The UNR delegation also held discussions with representatives from XJTU's Office of Scientific Research, Office of International Affairs, School of Continuing Education, School of Materials Science and Engineering, and School of Life Science and Technology to explore specific areas of collaboration.
