Anastassiya (R2) serves as a volunteer at the Annual Meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) University in Urumqi.

Yuy Anastassiya, a third-year Business Chinese major from Kazakhstan at Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), shone as a key volunteer at the Annual Meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) University in Urumqi this May, showcasing the caliber of globally-minded talent nurtured by Chinese higher education.

Not anticipating her role, Anastassiya was elected volunteer team leader due to her professionalism and enthusiasm. She oversaw critical tasks, including delegate receptions, simultaneous interpretations, event hosting, and team coordination, earning high praise from international attendees for her polished performance.

During interpretation tasks, a dialogue on education digitalization left a lasting impression. When asked about China's smart education practices, she instinctively cited ubiquitous campus tools, such as the interactive ‌Rain Classroom platform‌, AI-powered research systems, and distance learning, sparking intense interest among delegates. "It made me realize," she reflected, "that what's routine for us represents cutting-edge progress in global education."

As leader of a 30-member international volunteer team, she gained profound insight into global collaboration: "It was grueling work, often leaving us too exhausted to eat. Yet when overwhelmed, teammates from different nations always stepped up spontaneously. Our synergy embodied the SCO spirit: mutual respect among civilizations and shared development."

Through her actions, she demonstrates that studying in China not only builds knowledge but also bridges diverse cultures.
