XJTU students win the national championship at the competition.

On July 14, the Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) team emerged as the national champion in the final of the "fundamental mechanics experiment" team competition at the 15th National Zhou Peiyuan College Student Mechanics Competition, securing the only special prize and achieving a historic breakthrough for the university. Additionally, XJTU earned the hosting right for the next competition.

As China's most authoritative event in the field of mechanics, the competition featured individual and team competitions. The individual round, held in May, attracted over 30,000 students from more than 500 universities across 30 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions.

After fierce competition, 40 teams from top-tier universities, including Peking University, University of Science and Technology of China, Harbin Institute of Technology, Tongji University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, and XJTU, advanced to the team competition.

XJTU has prioritized high-level academic competitions as a key platform for cultivating top innovative talent. Supported by the practical teaching center and other departments, the School of Aerospace Engineering assembled a competition work team.

The team underwent a rigorous 20-day intensive training program, implementing daily goal-setting and weekly assessments to enhance participants' theoretical application skills, experimental proficiency, and problem-solving abilities under pressure. The students' teamwork and composure on the field ultimately led to their outstanding performance, showcasing their relentless pursuit of excellence.
