XJTU attends second China-Uzbekistan University Cooperation Forum

XJTU and the New Uzbekistan University reach a cooperation agreement at the forum.
Bie Zhaohong, executive vice president of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), recently led a delegation to attend the Second China-Uzbekistan University Cooperation Forum held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
At the forum, in the presence of the Ministers of Education from both China and Uzbekistan, XJTU and New Uzbekistan University signed a cooperation framework agreement.
Bie delivered a keynote speech at the forum, stating that XJTU is actively promoting industry-education and science-education integration. She noted that the university has established 248 joint R&D centers with over 200 enterprises, driving technological breakthroughs and the commercialization of achievements in fields such as electric power and energy, high-end manufacturing, and new materials.
Bie proposed several suggestions for advancing China-Uzbekistan educational cooperation and stated that XJTU will continue to work hand in hand with Uzbek universities to promote cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific and technological collaboration, and digital education, thereby contributing to building a stronger China-Uzbekistan Community with a Shared Future.
During the roundtable discussion, Bie and other attending guests engaged in discussions centered on the theme of "China-Uzbekistan Education Cooperation under the 'Belt and Road' Framework and the Integrated Development of China-Central Asia Education."
During the forum, the delegation exchanged views on future cooperation in higher education with representatives from multiple Uzbek universities and invited them to participate in the construction of the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization Higher Education Cooperation Center.
During the visit, the delegation paid a visit to the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan, where they held an in-depth discussion on China-Uzbekistan education cooperation with Wang Jiwei, charge d'affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy.
